Hmmmm.....What do you think: about the readings, about the campus, about your first year, about your research, about what is going on in the world and the universe generally? Tell me, and illustrate it--feel free to add pictures, music, narration, links, etc. Be sure to create a profile formally, and have fun with this!

ReplyDeleteI think this semester has been a much slower one than last semester, but i am getting through it i suppose. I wish we did not have as much reading assigned, because i find it hard to keep up with. With the other classes i am taking it is difficult to find hours to read and its even harder keeping my attention focused on the all reading we have because i find most of the cap readings rather dull. Likewise with CAP115 i find the topic for our research paper rather mundane and somewhat pointless as i have come to the conclusion that i will probably be changing my major, but its an assignment so i have to do it. I think that it sucks that the economy sucks so hard. Life is generally more stressful since the recession, at least in my family. Plus it just sucks to turn on the news everyday and see that the economy is only falling further.
ReplyDeleteOn a brighter note, i was very excited to see president Obama take office this year. Not so much for the fact that he was african american, but more just because he seem to have new ideas. I was impressed that he began the process to shut down Guantanamo Bay so soon after beginning his term. I do feel that we see him on the news to much talking about what he is going to do in the future. I anticipate seeing how he does accomplish in his first year.
The readings this semester have been a little bit of a load because as soon as we finished reading one book our class would jump right into the next book. The blogging confused me because I was used to discussing the books and other issues in the classroom.
ReplyDeleteI like most of my teachers this semester because they are willing to help me when I ask. If they don't know the answer they try to contact someone who will possible guide me to an answer for my question. I really like the writing stuidos at 2:00pm because there aren't alot of people there and it is just a more comfortable environment for me.
